Showtime on the run...

LOOK OUT! SHOWTIME WILL BE IN THEATRES NEAR YOU...TWICE! You know what they say, two is always better than one...Check Victor Lopez in the new Paul Blart: Mall Cop, where he even got to display some of his acting abilities. Victor and Natasha Hopkins, a great stuntwoman who has picked up her own set of freerunning skills, were hired to be the freerunning pair who chase down Kevin James the Mall Cop... It's sure to be a laugh and another great spotlight for the sport.
BUT WAIT! It doesn't stop there. Showtime is also currently working on the film "Bone Deep" as the freerunning double for Chris Brown. Look out for that one in the future and be sure to check out his new SHOWTIME HIGH SKOOL TRAINING video on youtube...its a blast!

::Ridin' Dirrty::

Our recent trip to Denver, Colorado for the national jam was one to remember. 17 hours in a 15 passenger van leads to a lot of goofing around. Denver is definitely one of the best spots to freerun. It's a once a year jam that you don't want to miss. Here is a video Diddy put together of our COPK adventure.

::Behind the Scenes::

Here is a video of behind the scenes of Chisa Yokoyama's music video.

::BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL::

This past weekend Tempest was hired to work on Chisa Yokoyama's newest music video. The music video was filmed at a local LA high school where we were able to freerun all over the school. Our newest members McLovin and Steel were able to show off some of their skills. We'll keep you updated as when the music video is released.

::THE STORM IS GROWING::

Tempest would like to welcome 3 new members to the team, Brian "NoSole" Orosco, Luci "Steel" Romberg, and Ryan "McLovin" Houchin. These three have impressed us with his and her personality, style, and skill. But most importantly they aren't scared to swallow a goldfish.

the Model Or the Man

French car company Renault recently hired Gabe "JayWalker" Nunez, Rich "Dick McKenzie" King, and fellow freerunner Brent "Whole Foods" Steffensen to put together an Industrial Commercial for the release of a new model that is too hush hush to say at this point. The commercial will not be on Television but will air at the release of the vehicle and eventually become part of our proffessional team reel if we can get our hands on it. JayWalker was hired as the lead euro-sexy and did not only Freerunning but was hired for the still shoot to be as pretty and french as he could be. You be the judge and let us know if it worked. Model Or Man? While Dickie Boy coordinated the freerunning in downtown LA, Whole Foods safety'd and thought about his next trip to whole foods. Renault has expressed their happiness by saying Merci! As Always stay tuned and Stay tuned...or whatever.

OHIO!

After the success of the 3 Doors Down music video "it's not my time" on VH1, Gabe the JayWalker was invited back to where it all started. Cincinnatti welcomed Gabe back and showed him the city from a different perspective. The great people at Metaphor released a new product called liberatedomains.com and used Gabe to help launch it all off. The product is the new safe way to search for domain names on the net without have to worry about someone stealing your idea. Gabe got the opportunity to meet alot great people who are passionately involved in the city's improvement. Special thanks to Ran Mullins and his amazing team at Metaphor for bringing him out, and the team from studiovertu.com who presented Gabe with the first and only Team Tempest marble coasters. After some great food, good fun, and some Skyline Chili Gabe returned with hopes of getting the chance to go back and experience the Natti again...To Be Cont.

Time Warp, Discovery!

Discovery Channel came to Team Tempest for an episode on their new T.V. show called Time Warp. The episode will be starring Victor "Showtime" Lopez as well as Gabe "JayWalkTheSpot" Nunez. The Duo traveled from L.A. to Boston in order to be a part of this incredible show. The definition of slow motion will never be the same after seeing what the body looks like at 5,000 frames per second. Using the phantom camera, Discovery will show you what the eye cannot see on it's own. This was truly an amazing experience and an opportunity that Tempest is grateful to have been a part of. We will keep you updated when we know more about the date this show airs. Make sure to keep up with tempest on myspace for the best pictures no money can buy.
Stay Tuned!

Zoom Zoom Zoom!

Showtime Lopez and Jaywalker zoom zoomed over some Mazdas to kick of their summer 10 car dash event. Oddly enough they chose Gabe to be Showtimes double and as you can tell it worked wonderfully. They look exactly alike and it turns out they are actually twins seperated at birth. Showtime lived up to his name while Gabe pretty much just played water boy and camera man. Keep your eyes peeled as this commercial should kick off locally july first and then shortly after will blow out to the rest of the nation. Special thanks goes out to Mark Toorock for letting us know about this project. As always your feedback and support is much appreciated so until next time. Run Free! Tempest out...

Do the Dew, Dew'ds!

The once bum looking Gabe from team tempest has handsomely returned to humanity. He chopped his locks and shaved the shadow for a Mountain Dew Commercial airing in the Middle East. Gabe got to work with Director Scott Waugh and the Bandito Bros along with some soon to be World Famous Actors to include Sammy Sheikh, Mike Espy, and Mikael Ayele as seen in the shot above. If these boys don't do it for the women in scarfs then I don't know who will. Much thanks goes out to Pepsi-Mountain Dew for having him. Check out more fun photos at the Tempest myspace page @ myspace.com/tempestfr

Bet you can't find him in the picture above...

::WILLIAM SPENCER::

Tempest has been fortunate enough to work with many talented people, one of them being William Spencer. You may have heard of him from his skateboard video where he does a front flip down a 12 step flight of stairs landing on his skateboard. Totally crazy!!
We worked on a commercial with him called Liquid mountain that you may have seen on TV. On one of our off days we hung out with Will and brought a camera with us. SUNDAY FUN DAY!

::ROAD TO VIENNA PT3::

Finally, after months of delays comes the final installment of our journey to Vienna! We trained hard with Edythe Heus for one month for the Red Bull Competition. Her innovative training techniques had a big impact on strengthening our bodies for the competition. It's all about the Heus Approach! You can find out more about Edythe's training at http://primeblueprint.com.

Everyone we met at the competition was amazing. It was an honor for us to hang out and compete with everyone there. Big thanks to Reb Bull for hosting the event and to our sponsor GO Stunts who helped us make it over to Vienna. Until next year! or maybe sooner....

Trading Dickie for Diddy, but where's Vik?

Rich "Dickie Boy" King has left the country to be a part of an amazing project that we aren't at liberty to speak about yet.  Just know that it is going to be epic. At the Same time Paul "Diddy" Darnell returns from a 3 month project called twilight that he worked on in Portland, Oregon. Diddy doubled the main actor and had a blast doing it. we'll let you know when you can see that one. Trading one for the other is hard but it also means that Tempest is rocking out and staying busy. Victor "Showtime " Lopez is also off on a Happy Madison production in Boston where he will play a Freerunner. Yes! But we wont be missing him too much cuz he's only gone for a few weeks. Be sure that Vik will represent the freerunning community well.  After that the three members of Tempest, Gabe, Vik, Paul, will rejoin in L.A. for some guaranteed good times. They'll also be hitting the training hard again. So for now it seems that the storm is only growing...Tempest
